Where should I start?
If you’re beginning, then the Kickstart Your Writing Course is a natural place to begin. The course curriculum is sequential and buildable, so from there you can move on to Establish Your Practice, Craft Your Story, and Publish Your Work. At any point you can tap in to more support and community in the Creative Community, and when you’re ready for a real writing adventure out in the world, the Travel Collective’s trips are just that.

How do I register for the online courses?
Registering for Writing With Jenna's online courses is a simple and straightforward process. Just follow these steps:
Course Selection: Visit the "Write” page on our website and choose the course that aligns with your writing goals and interests.
Payment Options: You’ll be taken to a check-out page where you’ll enter your payment details. We offer multiple payment options.
Confirmation Email: After purchasing the course, you will receive a welcome email that contains all the necessary information to start your learning journey. This email will provide you with access to the course materials, instructions on how to navigate the online learning platform, and any additional resources you may need.
What is the duration and format of each course?
Each Writing With Jenna course offers 90 minutes of comprehensive video instruction, divided into five modules that are released every Monday for five weeks. These videos are pre-recorded, allowing you the flexibility to proceed at your own pace and revisit them whenever you need a refresher. Along with the video content, you will have access to the course materials, including over 60 slides used during the course and five printable templates that you can apply to enhance your writing.
Do I need any special software or tools?
To access all the course materials, you will need to create a free account with Kajabi, our host platform. This will provide you with seamless access to the course videos, slides, and additional resources. You will need a table Internet as well as a computer, tablet, or phone that has audio and video capability. If you choose to use the course templates provided, you have the option to either print them out at home or download them to your iPad and use an app like Goodnotes to write directly within the file digitally.
Are there any discounts available for multiple course purchases?
Yes, there is! We offer a Year of Writing Bundle, which includes all four courses, the 2025 Writing Planner, and one year of writing prompts for $365—that’s a $55 discount. Plus, we’ll throw in a 10% discount on a 1-year Creative Community membership, saving you a total of $105.
Are there any opportunities for interaction with the instructor or other students during the course? Can I receive ongoing support or guidance after completing the course?
As these courses are pre-recorded and self-paced, there are no direct interactions with the instructor or other students. However, if you're seeking a more interactive experience and ongoing support, we encourage you to explore the Creative Community. The Creative Community offers a wealth of resources, including coaching and a supportive community, where you can receive ongoing creative guidance, connect with like-minded individuals, and seek assistance even after completing the course. This additional avenue ensures that you have access to the guidance and support you may need throughout your creative journey.
Are the courses suitable for different writing genres?
Yes, the material covered in our courses is designed to be applicable to any writing genre. Whether you're interested in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or any other form of creative expression, our courses provide valuable insights and techniques that can be adapted to suit your specific writing style and genre. While there is a stronger focus on nonfiction and writing about personal experiences, the principles and skills taught in our courses can be utilized across various genres, fostering growth and development in your writing journey.
Do you offer refunds?
Because purchasing a course grants you immediate access to all of the course material, we are unable to offer refunds. However, if you are dissatisfied with the course, please do let us know in this survey.
Travel Collective FAQs
How can I sign up for one of the trips offered?
Our trips are only open to members of the WWJ Travel Collective. To become a member, simply apply to the Collective, and within 30 days or less, your application will be reviewed and accepted. Once you become a member, you'll have unlimited access to register for any WWJ trip for as long as your membership is valid.
How do I join the Travel Collective, and what is the membership fee?
Fill out the application—it’s free to apply and only takes 10 minutes!
All applications are thoroughly reviewed by the Writing with Jenna Travel Collective Board within 30 days. Please note that this is a competitive process, as we strive to build a valued collective of people who can demonstrate that they will uphold our community guidelines.
Activate your membership by paying the annual $145 fee. (This fee goes toward the Collective’s programming, operating costs, and scholarship—and when you join a WWJ trip, your annual fee is waived!)
Once your membership is activated, you have full access to the Travel Collective trips, community, resources, and programming!

Are travel scholarships available for community members?
Yes, we are committed to helping people achieve their dreams and will do whatever is possible to remove barriers for the world’s storytellers to deepen their craft and have access to experiences and mobility. We’re working on making this a reality. Scholarships are based on a combination of need and merit. If you’d like to be considered for a scholarship, fill out the the application here. How often does the community meet?
We meet virtually every week, providing a consistent and supportive space for writers to learn, write, and engage in constructive discussions. This interactive space leverages the collaborative power of writing together.
How can I sign up for the Creative Community?
It’s easy–just follow these steps:
Register: Click on the registration link provided on the “Connect” page and fill out the required information. There's no application process, so anyone can join! However, keep in mind that sometimes there is a waitlist to join. We allow new members in incrementally, to ensure a quality experience for everyone.
Agree to Community Guidelines: Before finalizing your registration, make sure to read and agree to our Community Guidelines. These guidelines ensure a respectful and inclusive environment for all members.
Pay Membership Fee: Upon registration, you will be prompted to pay the membership fee. This fee grants you full access to all the benefits and resources of the Creative Community.
Onboarding Email: After completing your registration and payment, you will receive an onboarding email. This email will guide you through the next steps and provide you with important information about the community.
Create Your Member Profile: Follow the instructions in the onboarding email to create your member profile. Introduce yourself, share your creative interests, and connect with other like-minded individuals.

What if I miss a session—are they available to watch later?
Yes, and no. The primary segments like Q&A, guest speakers, and the creativity chat will be recorded, allowing you to catch up on missed sessions at your convenience. However, we prioritize protecting our community's privacy and fostering a safe and supportive space for people to explore their ideas and expressions. As a result, any community-oriented segments, such as group discussions or sharing circles, will not be recorded.
